Speech Disorder
is an articulation disorder that involves problems making sounds. Sounds can be substituted, left off, added or changed. These errors may make it hard for people to understand you.  A phonological process disorder involves patterns of sound errors.
For example, substituting sounds (e.g., saying "tup" for "cup" or "das" for "gas").

Speech Developmental Milestones demonstrate which speech sounds should be mastered, age appropriately.

Language disorder is difficulty with understanding and using spoken and written language.

This may involve the following:
The form of language (phonology, morphology, and syntax).
The content of language (semantics).
The function of language in communication (pragmatics).

Receptive Language Developmental Milestones help measure the understanding of language, age appropriately.
Expressive Language Developmental Milestones help measure how the words are used, age appropriately.
